How pricing works

Surgical pricing is specific to you, your procedure, and your plan. Here is how the practice approaches cost, what shapes it, and how to get an accurate quote.

Why there is no single price

Two patients having the same named procedure can have very different plans. Cost depends on the complexity of your surgery, whether procedures are combined, the anesthesia and accredited facility used, and the time the operation takes. For that reason, the honest answer to what a procedure costs is a quote built for you.

What is included

A surgical quote generally reflects the surgeon's fee, anesthesia, and the accredited facility, along with your follow up care. Dr. Sayed will explain exactly what your quote covers so there are no surprises.

Getting your quote

After a consultation, you receive a written quote for your specific plan. Elective cosmetic surgery is generally not covered by insurance, though some reconstructive situations may be. We are glad to talk through financing to make treatment easier to plan for.

When I discovered the breast implant illness group and associated website so many of my mysterious symptoms/illnesses seemed to make sense. I also discovered (not having been told by my previous surgeons) that implants are not lifetime devices and need to be replaced every 10 -15 years. I decided that I did not want to keep going under anesthesia every 10 years or so and if removing them could add quality to my life (I'm only 46) having them removed was worth it. Finding a surgeon that had the experience, confidence and care needed for my situation was not easy. Dr. Sayed was the fourth surgeon I met with in the San Diego area and the only one who met all of my needs. He and his staff are kind, caring and skilled.
