Meet Tim Sayed MD, MBA, FACS

A surgeon-led practice

Tim Sayed MD built his practice around a simple idea: the surgeon you meet is the surgeon who operates and the surgeon who sees you through recovery. He keeps the practice boutique on purpose, so every patient gets his full attention, an honest assessment, and a plan shaped to their anatomy and goals rather than a template.

Training and education

Dr. Sayed studied electrical engineering and computer science at UC Berkeley, where he graduated with Highest Honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his medical degree at the UCSF School of Medicine, completed general surgery training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard, and returned to UCSF for his plastic surgery fellowship. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. About a decade into practice he also completed an Executive MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.

Double board certification

Dr. Sayed is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, and he has been recertified in both after ten years. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Double certification is uncommon and reflects a deep foundation in both general and plastic surgery.

Areas of focus

Dr. Sayed is a recognized expert in breast implant removal, en bloc capsulectomy, and the concerns patients describe as breast implant illness. He also performs breast augmentation and revision, breast lift and reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction and high definition liposculpture, fat grafting, facelift, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and a full range of procedures for men.
